The brief
ASB Bank wanted to drum up business with their customers with a pre-approved loan. They wanted to inform them that the money was ready and waiting at the bank, what they wanted to use for was up to them.
The solution
We could just have sent a simple letter with a number in it but to be more creative, and get more cut-through, we produced a DIY letter.
The pre-approved loan could be used to fill a gap in their lives, for each different customer the gap would be different, so we sent them a letter filled with gaps, with stickers to fill the spaces. They could make the story they wished to hear.
The results
This was a huge success for the bank, with a ROI of 1176%, a story with a happy ending no matter how you look at it.
