Lincoln University has been around for almost 150 years, and a leader in its field so I was very proud to be asked to help re-write their website. Lincoln has students from all over the world, so the goal was to not only project their unique Kiwi personality, it had to convey it in a way that was easily understood by students on the other side of the world, not just the other side of the country. It was a huge task, with very tight deadlines but very rewarding and fulfilling to write.
As well as the hundreds of course outlines I had to write, I was also tasked with writing pages that described what was life like for students at the university - the help the would receive and a look at the accomodation where they would stay.
There were hundreds of course outlines to write with very short deadlines. The Lincoln University website is huge, so a relaunch was massive task that involved many people.
I knew very little about the courses they offer and was given very sparse notes about the content but the website were fantastic, feeding me information and getting feedback that I could action. A great example of fantastic teamwork. I was just a cog in the wheel but with great support I could turn round a lot of work quickly.
